HyperX Quadcast Review

HyperX Quadcast, which first appeared at the CES 19 fair, aims to make a quick entry into the microphone market with its features and stylish design as I said at the beginning. When we look at the box content of the device, there is a 3-meter cable and a montaş adapter besides the microphone. Thanks to this long cable, you can position your microphone as you wish. In addition, the braided structure of the cable eliminated problems such as breakage. There is also an audio output on HyperX Quadcast, which is connected via USB. This output, which has a value of 32 ohms, has a range of 20hz to 20khz just like the microphone.

The mounting bracket included in the box allows you to connect your microphone to different tripods if you wish. In other words, if you do not want to use your own foot, it is possible to attach it to different tripods thanks to this apparatus. Considering that most broadcasters use microphones from above like radio players, it is an important advantage that we do not need an extra apparatus.

When we look at the design of the microphone with its oval structure, foot part and red toning, we see that it looks very stylish. An on and off key has been added to the top of the microphone, and when you turn on the microphone, you also turn on the light. The microphone has a much more beautiful appearance thanks to these red tones. In addition, you can easily understand whether the microphone is on or off thanks to this lighting system. At the bottom of the microphone, there is a system where you can adjust the sensitivity level.

Another striking factor in the design is the tires that prevent shaking. The body part of the microphone is placed on the foot part with red rubber. In other words, even if there is a vibration or impact at the level where you position the microphone, it manages to prevent this situation. Another element we should mention in terms of design is that the microphone body is adjustable. You can adjust the microphone body according to your sitting height or position.

HyperX Quadcast, which has 3 14mm capacitors inside, also has an internal pop filter. This pop filter placed in a metal body prevents explosions in sounds. This problem, which we encounter most, especially in headphone microphones or products that are not very successful, has been minimized thanks to this filter that the microphone has.

Supporting PC, PS4 and Mac, HyperX offers 4 different recording possibilities: Quadcast, Stereo, Omnidirectional, Cardioid and Bidirectional. In this way, whether you are alone or a crowded team, you can handle the sound issue with a single microphone. If we explain these 4 different settings separately;

Stereo: When you set it to this setting, the microphone can record wide sound from one direction. So when 2 people sit side by side, it would be best to change the microphone setting to Stereo.

Omnidirectional: Omnidirectional setting, which you can call as versatile, is more suitable for group conversations. Thanks to this setting, the microphone evenly records the sound coming from all directions.

Bidirectional: If we need to explain this setting, which is mostly used by radio players, we can call it face-to-face conversation. With this setting, the microphone picks up sounds coming from the front and the back and rejects the side, so it's kind of bidirectional.

Cardoid: This setting is a setting that you should use mostly for your own broadcasts or recordings. When you bring it to the Cardoid, the microphone only picks up sounds coming from the front and rejects other directions.

In short, HyperX Quadcast, which looks very stylish in terms of design, has the potential to be a solid broadcast microphone with its features. In the foreign price of $ 140, the price of which Turkey is not yet clear microphone.
