The Democrats are trying to pass a suite of measures designed to ensure “they are in power indefinitely,” according to New York Post columnist Miranda Devine.

Ms Devine pointed to the ‘HR1’ bill which Nancy Pelosi “tried to punt up” on day one of the Trump administration but couldn’t pass because the Republicans controlled the Senate.

“Now the Democrats control everything in Washington, so this is definitely a goer,” she told Sky News.

“It’s just one of a suite of measures that the democrats are planning to ensure that they are in power indefinitely.

“They include turning the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico into states which would be Democrat, and things like stacking the Supreme Court and abolishing the electoral college.

“All these things give Democrats a major advantage.”
